Korean Name by Birthday: Quiz, Saju or Choice?

A birthday-name quiz gives you the result of that quiz’s mapping. It does not establish a name you must use. Saju considers birth details as part of a traditional interpretation, while choosing a personal Korean name also involves its sound, written form, meaning and your preference.

Why can two birthday-name quizzes give different answers?

Read each quiz’s instructions. If one assigns a syllable to your month and another uses your day, they are applying different mappings. A different output does not show that you entered your birthday incorrectly; compare the method before comparing the result.

When sharing a result from a TikTok name trend, keep the original chart or creator with it. Call it your result from that quiz rather than the only Korean name your birthday permits. You can enjoy the result and still decide that another name fits you better.

How is Saju different from a short name chart?

The Academy of Korean Studies describes Saju in terms of the birth year, month, day and time, expressed as four pillars. That gives context for the tradition; it does not mean that a month-and-day nickname chart performs the same interpretation.

In K-Name Card, birth details inform a traditional Saju perspective alongside the naming workflow. It is a cultural experience, not a verified forecast or a promise that selecting a name changes what will happen to you.

Check a quiz name before using it in a profile

Keep the full Hangul spelling, the romanized form and pronunciation guidance together. If a meaning is provided, check whether it identifies particular Hanja characters or merely gives an appealing English phrase.

Then try introducing yourself with it. Ask what attracted you to the result: its sound, its meaning, or simply the fun of joining the trend. That answer can guide your choice even if you do not keep the quiz’s original result.

What does K-Name Card use besides my birthday?

The service compares your original name with candidate sounds in a limited catalog, considers the preferences you enter, and includes a traditional Saju perspective. The sound match is approximate and does not listen to your voice. Your birthday is not the only input.

You receive three suggestions through the paid experience and confirm one for your digital cards and seal image. Check the product page for current pricing and preparation details. The service does not promise to reproduce a particular TikTok chart or assign the same name to everyone born on one date.

Frequently asked questions

Is there one birthday-name result I have to use?

A quiz result follows that quiz’s instructions. You can choose whether to keep it after checking its spelling, sound and explanation.

Do I have to know my birth time?

K-Name Card lets you indicate that you do not know it. The reading reflects the information you can provide.

Can people with the same birthday choose different names?

Yes. People can prefer different sounds or meanings, and a service may consider information beyond the date of birth.
